Harmony The Musical
Designed a visual identity for a musical through illustration, graphic design, and editorial assets.
Inspired by the 100th anniversary of Canada’s Chinese Immigration Act, Harmony The Musical brings to life the hardships faced by Chinese immigrants under exclusionary laws.
I collaborated with this passionate team to create visuals that honor this history, raising awareness and preserving stories for future generations.

Main concept
The client wanted to showcase the dedication of the entire 18 cast members by featuring them all on the poster.
Due to the project's timeline, the cast's costumes and set design were still in progress when we began brainstorming design concepts. Without photos available for the poster, we opted for illustrations. We researched fashion aesthetics of the era to accurately depict the clothing styles of that time.
We incorporated mountains and prairies into the design, as the story takes place in Alberta.

Digital and Printed Event Program
The event program is a 36pp booklet. I set up a grid layout consisting of multiple sets of grids to accommodate different layout needs across pages. This approach ensures consistent design and layout throughout the program.
A digital version has been uploaded to the musical production's website.
